Most nephrologists carry thousands of patients. Visits are short, access is filtered, and continuity is rare. We chose another path.
NephronMD is a membership practice with a fixed cap of 25 patients shared between Dr. Anand Prakash and Dr. Deepak Chandramohan. That number is not a marketing line — it is the entire business model. It is what allows us to know your labs by heart, to call you back personally, to sit with your family for as long as a decision requires, and to be reachable when something matters at 9pm on a Sunday.

It means you have a direct relationship with a board-certified kidney specialist — not a portal, not a triage line. We cap our practice at 25 patients between both physicians so we can give every member real time, real attention, and immediate access.
A typical nephrologist carries 1,500 to 2,500 patients. At 25, Dr. Anand and Dr. Chandramohan can know your labs, your family, your medications, and your goals — and respond personally, often within the hour.
Membership is paid directly to the practice. Many members continue to use insurance for outside labs, imaging, hospital care, and prescriptions. We help you coordinate every piece.
No referral is required to start. Most members come to us directly after a diagnosis, a hospitalization, or because their current care feels rushed.
